About Us

The Bridge Between Home and the World:
Adulthood doesn’t come with a manual—until now.

Our away/live-in Adulting Camp Calgary was born from a clear understanding of the unique challenges facing today’s young adults, and determining that a program that stayed local within Calgary, but where attendees lived in residence for the 10 days (9 nights) would be required to be fully effective. For the current age 19–21 generation, the traditional milestones of "growing up" were interrupted by a global shift. During the years usually reserved for first jobs, social exploration, and hands-on learning, these young people were asked to stay safe and stay home.

Following the pandemic, the priority for many families was a rapid "catch-up" on academic prerequisites to ensure post-secondary success. While this focus secured their educational futures, it often left little room for the lived experiences—like navigating leases, managing real-world budgets, or professional networking—that build independent confidence.

Our 10-day immersive, fun, and interactive program is the bridge to those missed experiences. The 2026 venue in the heart of beautiful Calgary, and we provide a supportive, substance-free environment where attendees can transition from "studying life" to "living it."

Why We Are Different

Attendees stay in residence for 10 days with a full day schedule and planned evening leisure and fun.  We aren’t a traditional summer camp or a clinical program; we use innovative activities and approaches, with a focus 'on moving and doing'. We recognize that for this generation, the "missing pieces" aren't for lack of capability, but for lack of opportunity. We focus on:

  • Live-in: This is an away camp.  While the venue is in Calgary (U of C campus), attendees will have an immersive experience by test-run living away from home for 10 days (9 nights) and applying the life skills being taught among peers who are doing the same

  • Practicality: Real-world simulations, from managing a grocery budget to basic home maintenance and professional etiquette.

  • Safety & Suitability: We maintain a specific attendee profile to ensure every participant is surrounded by peers who are at the same or similar stage of developmental - in some cases your weakness is another peer's strength and some of your strengths is another peer's weakness -- creating a community of mutual understanding and a symbiotic support system.

We believe that Gen Z's are a very perceptive generation with big hearts. However, the COVID years interrupted their development in many ways, creating gaps that differ young adult to young adult .
We are here to provide the toolbox and the environment to safely fail, learn the lessons, and launch.
